INDOT Announces Bridge Project on U.S. 50 Near Shoals Will Be Starting Soon

MARTIN COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces weekend lane closures on U.S. 50 near Shoals for a bridge project.
Beginning on or around Monday, March 30, contractors will close the westbound lane and shoulder of U.S. 50 near Rama Dye Road to perform patching and pavement overlay on the bridge spanning Beech Creek. This is the first phase of two. During the second phase, workers will move the lane closure to the eastbound lanes.
During the project closures will be in place around the clock. Traffic will be controlled by a temporary traffic signal.
Work is expected to last until mid-June, depending upon weather conditions. INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
