STATEHOUSE -- Back to work at the Statehouse.

With no violence to speak of happening at the state capitol last week, Indiana House Speaker Todd Huston tells WISH-TV they are eager to get back to conducting business as usual.

After the governor's State of the State address, Huston says they plan to get more money for schools so they can pay teachers more, but held firm on the GOP position that the decision making on how that money is allocated be left up to the individual school districts.

Democrats want something more direct to make sure enough money is used at each district to pay teachers more.
