Indiana State Police ID Boy found in Suitcase
Washington Co.- Indiana State Police have released the identity of the boy found in a suitcase in April.
Five-year-old Cairo Awmar Jordan of Atlanta, Georgia was found dead inside of a suitcase in eastern Washington County. Mushroom hunters located the suitcase in a wooded area off Holder road. An autopsy showed Jordan died from dehydration resulting from a stomach virus. ISP does not believe he was alive when put in the hard, Las Vegas suitcase.
The boy’s mother, Dejuan Jordan, is wanted for murder. Indiana State Police Troopers say they went to Los Angeles, the last known location of Jordan, but were not able to locate her. She has also been seen in Houston, Las Vegas, and San Diego since the boy’s discovery.
“Dejuan Anderson is currently at large,” said Sergeant Carey Hulz at a press conference Wednesday, “She is the mother of the deceased. She is described as a black female, approximately five-five, around one-hundred and thirty pounds. ”
Hulz also shared Troopers arrested forty-year-old Dawn Coleman of Louisiana in connection to the boy’s death. Coleman is not related to Dejuan or Cairo say reports.
