Indiana's COVID-19 Numbers Continue to Rise as Officials Look to Possibly Start Easing Restrictions Next Month

STATEWIDE -- In the wake of an extended stay at home order, Indiana's coronavirus numbers continue to rise.
As of the latest update from the State Department of Health, over 11,200 Hoosiers have tested positive for the coronavirus. Nearly 4,000 of those are located in Marion County, which continues to have the highest count of cases for any county in the state.
The official death toll comes in at 562. Over 61,000 Hoosiers have been tested for the virus thus far.
Governor Eric Holcomb announced the statewide stay at home order will extend through May 1. CLICK HERE to read more on the order's extension.
