Huntingburg Man Arrested After Leading Police on a Four-County, High-Speed Chase

ST. MEINRAD -- A Huntingburg man is in jail after allegedly leading police on a chase through four counties.
It started late Sunday night on SR 62 near St. Meinrad. Police attempted to stop a vehicle but the driver refused to stop.
The chase went through Perry, Dubois and Crawford counties, at times, reaching speeds over 100 mph. The driver lost control of the vehicle after crossing into Crawford County and went into a ditch.
He’s identified as Tyler Eckert of Huntingburg.
He was taken into custody without further incident and lodged in the Spencer County Jail.
