How Does Southwest Indiana Stack Up to the State in COVID Vaccinations?

Jasper - Six months after COVID shots became available to the public, Indiana is still well short of a 50% vaccination rate.


As of Tuesday, the COVID-19 vaccination rate in the state of Indiana sits at 43.8% for Hoosiers whom have gotten at least one dose; 39.0% of individuals are fully vaccinated. Ohio County leads the way in the Crossroads of America with nearly 60% of its residents vaccinated, Hamilton and Boone Counties checked in at second and third with 58.5% and 58.1% respectively.

Around Southwest Indiana, six counties - Dubois, Pike, Orange, Warrick, Vanderburgh, and Gibson - crack the Top 20 of Indiana's 92 counties. We take a deeper look at counties, residents, and vaccination rates below:

#7     Warrick Co. (63,000 residents) - 50.3% of residents have been vaccinated

#13   Vanderburgh (180,000) - 45.8%

#23   Perry (19,000) - 44.4%

#55   Gibson (34,000) 35.9%

#88   Daviess (33,000) - 25.1%

With 40,000 residents, LaGrange County's 18.7% vaccination rate measures in at 92nd in the state.
