Holland Events Committee Donates $5,000 to Holland Elementary's New Playground Fund

HOLLAND -- The Holland Events Committee made a $5,000 donation to Holland Elementary School to help purchase new playground equipment on Wednesday.

"Over the course of the last several years, we have had very successful festivals, which we are very grateful for," says Andrea Peters with the Holland Events Committee.  "We know the school was recently doing a walk-a-thon to raise money for a new playground and we felt this was the right time to make our biggest donation to date, to the Holland Community."

Phase one of the project, which included rubberizing the playground, was completed recently.  The money being raised now will go to phase two, which includes improvements and upgrades in addition to new equipment.
