Hit-and-Run Knocks Out Power to Hundreds Wednesday Morning, Police Have No Suspects

DUBOIS COUNTY -- We’re learning more about this morning’s accident that brought down several power poles on SR 164 near Jasper-Dubois Road.

A vehicle hit a pole just before 2 a.m. and fled the scene.

The impact of the crash downed several poles, and 164 was closed for several hours as crews repaired the damage.

Hundreds of Dubois REC customers were without power as crews made those repairs.

The roadway is back open at this hour and the power is back on.

Investigators tell WITZ Radio News they have no suspects at this time.
