Governor Expands Funding for State's Rental Assistance Program

FROM LOCAL SOURCES

STATEWIDE --  If you are behind on your rent, Gov. Eric Holcomb says more help is on the way.

The state is adding $15 million dollars more to the rental assistance program to help Hoosiers struggling to make ends meet.  Renters are eligible for the program if they have lost income because of the pandemic.

The governor says he hopes renters and landlords will work together during this time of crisis and uncertainty.

The state's moratorium on evictions will now end Aug. 14.
