Goodbye June set to return to the historic Astra Theatre
Jasper- In 2022, Goodbye June performed an absolutely stunning show on a Wednesday night at the Astra Theatre.
This band with local ties, guitarist Tyler Baker graduated from Northeast Dubois, is now set to return to this same venue on Saturday, August 26. Goodbye June’s music has been described as “blues-infused rock with hard-driving beats, blistering guitars, and down and dirty vocals.” The music will kick off at 7:45 PM.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 30 at 10:00 AM at www.AstraTheater.com. Reserved seating tickets on the main floor and balcony are $25 with a $45 VIP option. The limited VIP ticket includes preferred parking in the Matrix parking lot, a $5 concession voucher, an exclusive meet and greet/photo opportunity, early access to merchandise, and a pre-show acoustic set starting at 6:15 PM. Doors open for all other ticket holders at 7:00 PM.
Fusing hard rock licks with deep South blues and gospel swing, Goodbye June has recorded multiple albums with their latest, See Where the Night Goes, releasing in February ‘22 and immediately being met with high acclaim. This album debuted #1 on the UK Rock Chart.
The three cousins (namely Landon Milbourn [vocals], Brandon Qualkenbush [rhythm guitar, backing vocals] and Tyler Baker [lead guitar]) are fuelled by their desire to craft timeless, catchy and anthemic rock songs. The band formed after the death of Tyler’s brother in June (hence the band name), vowing to honor his memory with their soulful and life affirming sound.
In addition to sharing the evening with Goodbye June, make plans to attend other events from the scheduled 2023 Next Act, Inc. shows. These shows include the annual Rock Lotto on Saturday, July 15, and Brett Dennen on his solo acoustic tour Fool in Paradise on Friday, August 11. Tickets and information on upcoming shows can be found at www.AstraTheater.com.
The historic Astra Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Jasper, Indiana. Newly renovated with 357 seats, the Astra has main level and balcony seating with a concessions stand offering snacks, local craft and domestic beer, and wine that are available for purchase.
