Former JPD Detective Passes at 82

Jasper- Former Jasper Police Lieutenant and Detective Allen Gutsgell has died.

He was 82. According to Gutgsell’s obituary, he served with JPD for twenty years before retirement. Following his service, he became a truck driver for several local businesses. 

Gutsgell served in the United State Marine Corp aboard the U.S.S. Bennington. He graduated from Jasper High School in 1958.
