Forest Park Jr./Sr. High Graduation

Ferdinand- On Saturday, May 27th, Forest Park Jr./Sr. High will graduate 95 students from the class of 2023.
The senior class for Forest Park has made many achievements over the past year. From multiple athletic sectional titles, community and academic involvement, and even a 2A State Title.
The graduating Rangers’ valedictorians for the school year are Keegan Abell, Leo Ye, Leo Alvis, Amber Tretter, Danielle Eckert, and Maya Englert. The Salutatorian is Claire Hagedorn.
“These six students, their academic performance sets them apart in this graduating class,” said Forest Park Principal Ryan Haas, “But I can also say these six students do an outstanding job in our community. They all volunteer quite a bit and they are active members of our various athletic groups.”
What’s next for the valedictorians? Principal Haas says all six will be heading to college. Abell and Alvis will be attending Purdue, Danielle Eckert is going to Western Kentucky, Englert is going to IU, Tretter is committed to play basketball at Miami (OH), and Ye is heading to Johns-Hopkins.
Two of Forest Park’s seniors will be pursuing the next chapter of their lives by serving their country. Anthony Merkley is enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and Elijah Cox is heading to the US Military Prep Academy.
Graduation for Forest Park is Saturday in Buechler Arena.
