Ferdinand Library Announces Full List of Events in April

Ferdinand - The Ferdinand Library has announced its full slate of events for April.


National Library Week  – Stop by the week of 4/3-4/9 and register to win a $25 gift certificate of your choice. 

The Ferdinand Library will be closed for Good Friday on 4/15 and for Staff Development Day on 4/29. 

Basement Book Sale – Coinciding with the Ferdinand Town Wide Yard Sale, The Friends of the Ferdinand Library Book Sale will be Friday, 4/1 from 10-4 and Saturday, 4/2 from 10-2 

Dubois County SUDS Club Brew Demonstration  – 4/2 10-11:30  Dubois County Suds Club members will be here to give an overview of equipment and beer making process. Registration preferred at www.jdcpl.us but not required. Must be 21 years of age to attend. 

Stories For Littles/Family Storytime:  (Thursdays, 4/7, 4/14, 4/21 and 4/28 at 10AM) Enjoy stories, songs & crafts. 

Photo Opportunity  – There will be a professional photo Spring Back Drop in the Programming Room for anyone wishing to stop by and take their own snapshots on 4/7, 4/8 and 4/9.   

Creative Corner For Teens – Thursdays at 3PM after school. Free art supplies and projects. 

Afternoon Book Club – 4/7 2PM All are welcome. Contact Library for more information. 

Spring Animal Plushie Craft – 4/12  Registration required.  Kids will be reading a story about Spring and then doing a workshop to make our own plushie friends.  Participants will have the choice of making a duck, rabbit or a frog. 

Hydrangea Paint Stick Craft  – 4/21 6-7:30pm  Adults can paint, decoupage and assemble a beautiful hangar.  Registration required at www.jdcpl.us   

Art Time for Littles – 4/26 10AM  Children 5 and under are invited to this creative experience using library art supplies. No registration necessary. 

Block Party – 4/19 10AM  Kids are welcome to come and build with our cardboard blocks & giant floor puzzle pieces. 

Pokemon Club – 4/9 2PM  Come and enjoy all things Pokemon! All ages welcome, children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult please. 

Kids Canvas Painting – 4/4  3:30 PM or 6PM  Paint an Easter Bunny Peep.  *Registration required. 

Evening Book Club –4/27  6:30PM All are welcome. Contact Library for more information. 

Wiki Stix –  Drop in the Programming Room and play with Wiki Stix! 

‘Read It Forward’ Program – There is a box of diverse books available that don’t need to be ‘checked out’. You simply come in, choose a book from the designated box and go. You can choose to pass it along to another person or return it. If it is returned, the person can register for a prize. 

Friends Central Perk Cookie Kit – Come on in and play a game naming some of your favorite ‘Friends’ scenes with a chance to win a Central Perk Cookie Kit! 

1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program - We are thrilled to announce the kickoff of our new Early-Youth Reading Program, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten! The Ferdinand Library’s hours are Monday thru Thursday, 9am-8pm (EST) and Friday thru Saturday, 9am-5pm (EST).
