Ferdinand Branch Library Announces Full March Schedule

Local Sources - The Ferdinand Branch Library has announced its full list of events for the month of March.

Dr. Seuss Week – Stop by the week of 3/1-3/5 for a Dr. Seuss eraser while supplies last. 

Mardi Gras Celebration –  Stop by and pick up a sheet of Mardi Gras stickers while they last. 

Oil and Balsamic Presentation – 3/3 6-7PM Ann Knies from Chocolate Bliss & Kitchen Essentials will be at the Ferdinand Library to share information about cooking oils, balsamic, pairings and tasting. *Registration preferred. 

Family Storytime– Thursdays at 10am.  (3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/30) Enjoy stories, songs & crafts. 

Pi/e Day – 3/14  Teens can stop by on Pi/e Day after school this Motivational Monday & receive free pizza pie!  Others are welcome to come in and get an individually wrapped piece of pie while they last! 

Creative Corner For Teens – Mondays at 3PM after school. Free art supplies and projects. 

Sticker By Number -  Programming Room is open and has single sticker by number sheets and a large collaborative poster for all to join in the fun. 

Block Party For Littles -  3/15 at 10AM  Kids are welcome to come build with our cardboard blocks and giant floor puzzle pieces. 

Afternoon Book Club – 3/3 2PM All are welcome. Contact Library for more information. 

Crayoligraphy – 3/17 6-7PM  Each Teen or Adult participant will receive 2 books to practice and learn the art of hand lettering using Crayola-type markers 

Flower Pot Painting – 3/21 2PM & 6PM Kids must register to paint a terra cotta flower pot. 

Kite Making – 3/22 2PM  Kids must register to color and assemble their own kite! 

Dino Dig Activity – 3/24 2PM  Each participant will get to excavate a clay dinosaur egg to reveal the ‘dino bones’ insides. Kids will be able to identify the dinosaur and make it come to life using Sculpey clay. 

Kindness Rocks Kits -  Stop by to pick up a ‘Kindness Rocks’ Kit to paint or decoupage your own rocks. 

Pinecone Bird Feeder – Stop by and pick up a ‘To Go Kit’ that enables you to make your own Pinecone Bird Feeder using peanut butter and bird feed. 

Art Time for Littles – 3/28 10AM  Children 5 and under are invited to this creative experience using library art supplies. No registration necessary. 

Kids Canvas Painting – 3/7 3:30 PM or 6PM  Paint an Apatosaurus Dinosaur.  *Registration required. 

Friends Of The Ferdinand Library Basement Book Sale – 3/12  10AM-1PM EST  Paperbacks are $.50 and Hardcovers are $1. Enter the Library Basement from the inside or by using the outside north door near the Ferdinand Community Center parking lot.  See their Facebook page at:

‘Read It Forward’ Program – There is a box of diverse books available that don’t need to be ‘checked out’. You simply come in, choose a book from the designated box and go. You can choose to pass it along to another person or return it. If it is returned, the person can register for a prize. 

Paige The Hamster – The Ferdinand Library now has a new guest, Paige The Hamster! Come see her! 

Hoopla -  Available to Patrons for free through their library card. Hoopla is a digital media service that allows you to borrow movies, music,            e-audiobooks and e-books. 

1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program - We are thrilled to announce the kickoff of our new Early-Youth Reading Program, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten! Hundreds of libraries across the nation are using this program to promote reading & literacy to newborns, infants, and toddlers.

The Ferdinand Library’s hours are Monday thru Thursday, 9am-8pm (EST) and Friday thru Saturday, 9am-5pm (EST).
