FARM FEARS: U.S. AG Secretary Warns 2020 Could Be Another Bad Year For Local Farmers

STATEWIDE -- It might be another tough year for Hoosier farmers because of the coronavirus pandemic.

U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue says that he has a plan to help them. He will be proposing to the president that AG producers get billions of dollars in funding.

This comes as farmers are in planting season, while their demand is down due to the pandemic.

Last year was a tough year for farmers with heavy rains forcing many to abandon plans to plan or plant later in the year, risking a smaller yield in cold weather months.
