Evansville Tri-State Heart Walk set for Saturday, May 18

The American Heart Association, celebrating 100 years of lifesaving work in 2024, will host the Evansville Tri-State Heart Walk on Saturday, May 18. Participation is free although people are encouraged to register in advance and raise money to support the work of the American Heart Association.

The walk will take place on the campus of Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital at 9355 Warrick Trail in Newburgh. Walkers can gather at 8 a.m. There will be a brief program at 9:00, and the walk will begin at 9:15.

“The support from the Tri-State community in preparation for the Heart Walk has been outstanding,” said Shaunda Reed, Heart Walk Director for the American Heart Association. “Blake Bunner, CEO of Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital, has embraced his role as chair of the event and brought in many local business leaders to build the foundation for a great walk.”
