Evansville Man Arrested for Fleeing and OWI

Sunday morning, October 6, at approximately 8:50 a.m., Master Trooper Finney was patrolling I-69 north of the Lloyd Expressway when he observed a motorcycle traveling north at 106 mph. Trooper Finney also noticed the motorcycle was weaving in and out of traffic. After traveling north approximately six miles, the rider looked behind him and started to slow down to approximately 60 mph. The rider continued north for approximately two more miles before pulling over and stopping. The rider was argumentative and would not follow Trooper Finney’s instructions. After another trooper arrived to assist, the rider was taken into custody without further incident. The rider was identified as Jacob Nunley, 40, of Evansville.  While communicating with Nunley, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. A THC vape was also located in Nunley’s pocket. Nunley was transported to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is currently being held without bond.
