Eight New Businesses to celebrate Ribbon Cuttings in Historic Downtown Huntingburg Friday

HUNTINGBURG -- The Huntingburg Chamber of Commerce is hosting ribbon cuttings on eight new businesses on or around the 4^th Street Heritage Trail.

A new streetscape wasn’t the only big change happening in downtown Huntingburg, IN, as the construction from Market Street Park transitioned into the 4 th Street Heritage Trail, the downtown business community was also undergoing a transition of its own. 

The downtown business community saw long time business owners make decisions to retire and ‘pass the torch’ on to a new generation of entrepreneurs and that new generation answered back in a big way. 

“There was never any doubt in my mind that people would see the investment the city was making in our downtown and they would want to be a part of it. The message we can now send is 4 th Street is open for business and businesses are opening on 4 th Street, ” according to Sara Schroeder with the Huntingburg Chamber of Commerce. 

“Over the past two years, businesses in our downtown have shown tremendous trust, dedication, and resiliency during the construction of two major Stellar projects with both Market Street Park and the 4th Street Heritage Trail,” said Huntingburg Mayor Denny Spinner. “The investment these new businesses are making, further demonstrate the commitment shown by their neighbors, and each of them bring a unique and valued presence to our community. I am both grateful and honored to welcome these businesses to Huntingburg.” 

The Huntingburg Chamber of Commerce is officially welcoming 8 new businesses that have opened with a “Ribbon Cutting Celebration” on December 6 th and December 9 th . 

On Friday, December 6 th the chamber will host 7 ribbon cuttings starting at 10:30am: 

10:30am - Bean to Sprout 314 E. 4th St. - Opened April 2019 

10:45am - Key Associates 314 N. Main St. - Opened August 2019 1

1am - Firefly Boutique 401 E. 4th St. - Opened November 2019 

11:15am - Kim's Koffee 410 E. 4th St. - Opened October 2019 

11:30am - Ella & Ivy Home 412 E. 4th St. Opened November 2019 

11:45am - Linda's Nails 404 E. 4th St. - Opened November 2019 

12pm - The Rugged Foot 425 E. 4th St. - Opened 2018 

The chamber will also be hosting a ribbon cutting to celebrate the official opening of Offset Promotions on Monday, December 9 th . The celebration for Offset Promotions located at 408 E. 4th Street, starts at 4:30pm with the ribbon cutting and an open house till 7:30pm.
