Early Morning Jasper Crash Sees Trailer Detach, Roll Into Oncoming Traffic

Jasper - A detached trailer led to a head-on collision early Monday morning in Jasper.

At approximately 7:45 a.m., a trailer being pulled behind a 2000 Peterbilt became unhitched while headed east on 2nd Avenue.

A motorist headed west on 2nd Avenue, swerved to avoid the rolling trailer, clipping it. The trailer went on to collide head-on with a third vehicle. The trailer then hit a telephone pole.

No injuries were reported at the scene.
