Dump the Confusion: Recycling and Disposal Done Right
Join Dubois County Solid Waste Management Director Carla Striegel-Winner at the Ferdinand Branch Library on Tuesday, April 8 as she explains the what and why of local recycling and disposal options including batteries, electronics, plastics, mattresses and more. Get your questions answered and discover why some things are recyclable and others are not.
From 5:30 – 6 pm Striegel-Winner will give a short program called Dump the Confusion: Recycling and Disposal Done Right, and 10 households who attend will get a free mini recycling bin. Following that, from 6- 7 pm, stop by for informal Q and A with Carla, and pick up your free Earth Day gift – a reusable steel straw/brush set or a Chico bag.
All month you can stop by the Ferdinand Library to see a display of what can be recycled locally and pick up a brochure. The talk and display are part of the Solid Waste District’s Earth Day outreach. Come see the SWMD on Earth Day itself at the Earth Day Fair at Memorial Hospital lobby from 10 to 1 on April 22.
