Dubois Strong Awards Seventh Dubois County Relocation Impact Grant
Jasper – Dubois Strong, the Dubois County Community Foundation, and Radius Indiana have announced the awarding of the seventh relocation grant.
Christie Marin has been awarded the seventh
Dubois County Relocation Impact Grant.
Dubois Strong, in partnership with The Dubois County Community Foundation and
Radius Indiana, awards the $5,000 grants to out-of-state workers choosing to move to
Dubois County. Recipients must commit to staying for at least two years. The grant is
part of the Make My Move/Choose Southern Indiana initiative with TMap to incentivize
out-of-state workers to move to Dubois County.
Marin is relocating from California with her partner, Jonathan Brown, and their
daughters. She has a degree in Criminology and will be working for the Department of
Child Services in Dubois County. Jonathan will be working for Carpenter Rentals.
Christie discovered Dubois County and the initiative through friends as she was
searching for opportunities to relocate to a more central area of the country. Christie
and Jonathan were impressed by the small-town feel of Dubois County and the
proximity to major markets.
They’re looking forward to getting their kids involved in
community activities that they didn’t have the opportunity for in California.
Additional Dubois County Relocation Impact Grants are available. For more information,
