Dubois Man Arrested for OWI

Jasper - A Dubois man was arrested Saturday night for operating a vehicle at nearly twice the legal limit.

Just after 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night, the Jasper Police Department conducted a routine traffic stop at 2501 Newton Street. Officers observed that Charles Fight, 35, of Dubois, was showing signs of intoxication.

Officers also learned that Fight was driving with a suspended license.

Fight was transported to Memorial Hospital, where he tested at a .15% blood alcohol level, nearly twice the legal limit.

Fight was charged with Operating While Intoxicated at .15 or higher and Driving While Suspended.
