Dubois County Sheriff's Office Launches New Alert App
Dubois Co. – Sheriff Tom Kleinhelter announces his department has launched a new smartphone app to better serve the residents of Dubois County.
“We are all connected to the world around us through our smartphones,” said Sheriff Kleinhelter. “This app will allow us to send out alerts regarding weather or other emergency situations and has several useful links as well.”
The app has links for handgun permits, public records, jail information, employment opportunities and submit a tip.
The app was developed by TheSheriffApp.com, a division of OCV, LLC. “Over 80% of people in the United States own and use smartphones as their primary means of communication,” said OCV Vice-President Kevin Cummings. “Mobile apps offer agencies a better way to alert, inform and prepare the public. Apps allow public safety agencies the ability to reach and serve their citizens where they are – their smartphones.”
Sheriff Kleinhelter is confident the community will embrace this new app.
“I’m excited about this new method of connecting with both residents and visitors in a quick and efficient manner,” said Sheriff Kleinhelter. “I encourage all residents to download the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office app.”
The app is available to download for free in the App Store and on Google play by searching “Dubois Sheriff IN” or click here to download the app.
