Dubois County Reports Additional COVID-19 Cases Bringing Total to 42

JASPER -- The Dubois County Health Department confirms four more positive cases of COVID-19 have been identified. This brings the total to 42 positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubois County residents.
In a statement released Saturday morning, local health officials say, "We are working closely with Indiana State Department of Health and local officials to ensure that close contacts of the patients are identified and monitored. Everyone who may have an exposure risk to these positives cases are being notified about potential exposures so that appropriate infection control procedures can be followed."
The positive cases are in isolation.

In that same statement, local officials said, "When celebrating Mom, this Mother’s Day, remember to go the distance – Social Distance! You can make your mom feel special and stay safe in a number of creative ways. Support and encourage your loved ones who are social distancing and trying their best to follow the guidelines. Call them. Text them often. Plan regular Facetime calls or online chats so that they are able to still feel connected to the people that they love. Ask them how they’re doing and if there is anything they need. Deliver meals, deliver flowers, but keep your distance to keep her safe. Remember persons with underlying medical conditions and over the age of 60 are at high risk. Please continue to be vigilant in frequent hand hygiene, stay home if you are sick, and wear a cloth face covering when in public.
