Dubois County Records 74 Cases in Indiana's Single-Day Record-Setting Tally
Dubois Co. - In Wednesday's update from the Indiana Department of Health Dubois County recorded 74 COVID-19 cases as the state broke its own single-day total for the second time in a week.
The county hit the 70-case mark for the second time in a week, while recording zero deaths. Dubois has not seen a total of 74 or more COVID-19 cases on a single day since January 7th, 2021.
Within the past week, Dubois County has reached the daily average case numbers seen during the last peak in September.
Overall, Dubois County has seen 9,663 cases and 150 deaths attributed to COVID-19 over the course of the pandemic.
Statewide, 12,960 Hoosiers were diagnosed with COVID in Wednesday's Report. This is the second time in the past week that Indiana has broken its own record.
The January spike in cases has seen the average case number rise higher than the previous high peak of December 2020.
