Dubois County — Dubois County recorded its highest daily total of COVID-19 cases since early January; seven Southwestern Indiana counties are now under a Red Advisory. While a test positivity rate less than 15% kept Dubois off the list of 16 counties statewide under a Red Advisory, the county showed 353 positive cases per 100,000 residents, according to the latest update. Posey, Warrick, Lawrence, Gibson, Knox, Spencer, and Perry met the 15% positivity, 200+ cases per 100,000 residents threshold to reach the highest advisory level. As of today, nine counties are under a Yellow Advisory; the remaining 67 counties are under an Orange Advisory. The release from the Indiana Department of Health: The Indiana Department of Health announced today that 5,037 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 833,968 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
To date, 13,903 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 19 from Tuesday. Another 437 probable deaths have been reported to date based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. A total of 3,849,767 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 3,836,684 on Tuesday. A total of 12,011,885 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.
