Dubois County Records 23 New Cases, Half of Indiana Under Red Advisory

Dubois Co. - In Wednesday's update from the Indiana Department of Health, Dubois County recorded 23 new positive cases.


In Wednesday's update from the Indiana Department of Health, 23 cases have been detected in Dubois County. Zero deaths were reported in Dubois County in Wednesday's update. Three deaths have been reported in the first eight days of December.

Dubois County remained under an Orange Advisory, while 28 counties were scaled up to a Red Advisory.

In last week’s advisory map update, 18 Indiana counties were under the highest, Red Advisory, 67 counties were Orange, and 7 were under a Yellow Advisory.

This week - 46 counties, including, Posey, Vanderburgh, Warrick, Spencer, and Perry are under Red due to rising cases-per-100,000 metrics and positivity percentages.

Per Wednesday’s update, Dubois County reported 395 weekly cases per 100,000 residents and held a positivity percentage of 9.44%. Last week, the cases per 100,000 residents number stood at 219.

Hospitalized: After reaching a second peak of over 2,500 Hoosiers hospitalized with COVID-19 in September, statewide numbers had subsided to 1,209 on November 6th. Since that point, hospitalization numbers have more than doubled – now at 2,642.
