JASPER -- If you want to get the COVID-19 vaccine in Dubois County, be patient.

That word coming today from Health Department officials.  They remind residents that the vaccine is now available to anyone 65 and older.

To get the vaccine, you must make an appointment at ourshot.in.gov. You can call 211 if you don’t have internet access.

Again, officials ask patients not to arrive at their appointment early. Space is limited in the building and in the parking lot.

There is no cost for the vaccine, however, your insurance may be charged an administration fee.

Just over 5,500 people have received their first dose of the vaccine in Dubois County. Just over 1,600 are “fully vaccinated,” having received both doses.
