Dubois County Lowered to Yellow COVID Advisory as Cases Drop Statewide
At both the county and state level, Coronavirus numbers have sharply declined from a January peak fueled by the Omicron variant. In Dubois County, only four cases and zero deaths were recorded in Wednesday's update. In mid-January, the county had a seven-day period averaging 130 cases per day, including a single day peak of 184 cases.
Dubois County has not seen a double-digit single-day total since February 22nd. With metrics dropping to 93 cases per 100,000 residents and a positivity percentage south of 10%, the county has been lowered to a Yellow Advisory.
In Southwestern Indiana the following counties are under these current advisories:
Red (Highest): None
Orange: Warrick, Gibson
Yellow: Dubois, Crawford, Daviess, Knox, Orange, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh
Blue (Lowest): Greene, Lawrence, Martin
Statewide on Wednesday, Indiana reported 452 new COVID-19 cases and 47 deaths attributed to the virus.
Zero Indiana counties are currently under a Red Advisory.
