Dubois County July Unemployment Numbers Improve

JASPER -- Jobless numbers were down in Dubois County in July at 6.1%.

Last month, the number stood at 7.1% and a year ago in July 2019, Dubois County reported 2.6%.

According to the latest unemployment numbers released Monday, Orange County has the highest unemployment in the state last month at 14.3%.  This is an improvement from the 20% unemployment percentage reported last month.

The lowest unemployment in the state in July was in Daviess County at 4.2%.  

Elsewhere across the area, Spencer County had 5.7%.... Pike County 7.1%... and 6.7% unemployment in July in Perry County.
