Dubois County Health Department Issues Statement on Face Covering Requirements
From the Dubois County Health Department:
Effective April 6, 2021 Governor Holcomb enacted Executive Order 21-09 Modification of county-based measures and restrictions based on the impact and spread of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).
The Dubois County Health Department will adhere to the directives set forth in this Executive Order. The Face Coverings modification Governor Holcomb implemented on April 6, 2021 are summarized below.
Every individual within the State of Indiana shall wear a face covering over the nose and mouth when:
1. Inside all state government buildings, offices and facilities, including but not limited to the Indiana Government Center, Indianapolis office locations and other offices or facilities throughout the state;
2. Outside on state property where six (6) feet of social distancing cannot be achieved and maintained with individuals who are not in your household;
3. at a COVID testing or vaccination site;
4. at a K-12 educational facility as more specifically provided for in ¶ 8 of EO 21-09.
In all other public locations, all individuals within the State of Indiana are encouraged to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth and where six (6) feet of social distancing cannot be achieved and maintained between individuals not in the same household.
For further explanation and additional information please refer to Executive Order 21-09. Keep in mind, local establishments may still choose to enforce the “Mask Mandate” within their own facility. Please respect their decision and follow their COVID-19 mitigation plan when asked.
