JASPER -- For the first time in months, Dubois County’s Advisory Level had dropped to a CODE YELLOW designation.

That ranking is based on our county’s seven-day positivity rate, which currently stands at 3.3%.  That’s down more than twenty percentage points since the year started when our rate was over 25%.

Eight new cases of COVID-19 were reported Wednesday in Dubois County.  No new deaths.  Five local deaths were reported on Tuesday.

39 Indiana counties are now in the blue on the state's color-coded map.  That is the lowest risk of COVID spread.

Nine of those have been blue for two straight weeks and are now free of any restrictions. Almost every other county, including Dubois, are in the yellow, which is the second-best rating.

Just three counties remain in the orange.
