Dubois County COVID-19 Rates Remains High, Martin County Has Highest Positivity Rate in Indiana

JASPER -- Seven new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Dubois County on Tuesday.
That brings our total to 846 since the pandemic began. Of those cases, 17 have died. 712 others have recovered. When you do the math, it comes out to 117 active cases in the county.
Dubois County’s seven-day positivity rate stands at 15.7%, according to the state COVID-19 Dashboard. The state average is 7.1%.
Martin County is also seeing a high positivity rate. They are at nearly 23% there; the highest in the state.
I’ll be sitting down with local Dubois County health officials later this morning to discuss where we stand locally and matters that could complicate things, like the upcoming flu season.
