Dubois Co. Sheriff's Office Warns Residents of Text Scam Targeting Local Bank Customers

AREA WIDE -- The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of a scam that is reportedly targeting local customers of Old National Bank.

Company officials say they received a number of calls from customers who were contacted via text that their Visa / Debit card had been locked.  The message provided a callback phone number.

If you call the number, police say the person tries to get information about you and your card.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds you to never give out personal information over the phone.
