Dubois Branch Library Announces Full February Event List

Dubois Co. - The Dubois Branch Library has announced its full schedule of events for February.

Teen Space – Tuesdays and Wednesdays 3-5 p.m. Just hang out or participate in the activity of the day. Snacks provided.  No registration. For ages 11-18.

-Wednesday, Feb. 2 – Tabletop Games                     

-Tuesday, Feb 8 – Reverse Book Club                        

-Wednesday, Feb 9 –  Adulting 101                

-Tuesday, Feb 15 – Craft of the Month

-Wednesday, Feb. 16 – Acts of Kindness

-Tuesday, Feb 22 – Cookies and Canvas Painting

-Wednesday, Feb 23 – Video game day

Family Craft - Wednesday, Feb 2 at 6 p.m.  Create a thumb print heart keepsake magnet for your home.  Must pre-register.

LEGO Club – Thursday, Feb 3 from 3:15-4:15 p.m.  This group is for students in grades K-5. Children 8 and under MUST have an adult in the library.  Must pre-register. 

Adult Craft Night – Thursday, Feb 3 at 4:30 p.m.  Valentine Day Light Bulb decoration.  18 and older.  Must pre-register

Book Sale – Sat. Feb 5 from 10 – 2 p.m Our Community Room monthly book sale is starting back up.  Come in anytime during the day to shop for and purchase books.  

Valentine Card Making Workshop – Saturday, Feb 5 for all ages.  We provide all the supplies.  No registration.  Drop by any time between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Friends of the Dubois Library Meeting – Monday, Feb 7 at 7 p.m.  Everyone is welcomed.

Kids’ Painting Night – Wednesday, Feb 9 at 6 p.m. Create a colorful confetti heart painting.  Ages 5-11. Must pre-register.

Craft and Chat – Thursday, Feb 10 and Thursday, Feb 24  at 2 p.m.  Enjoy a hot drink and good company.  Bring your work in progress of any craft along with you to work on while we chat. We can teach you to knit or crochet, call Shae for more info.  Adults 18+. No registration is necessary.

Anti-Valentine’s Day Party – Friday, Feb 11 1-3 p.m.  Enjoy anti-Valentine's Day trivia and activities. We'll make a "just friends" card and write a hate haiku. Snacks will be provided. This event is for ages 13-18. Must pre-register.

Adult Canvas Painting – Thursday, Feb 17 at 4 p.m.  Love birds’ canvas.    Must pre-register.  (18+)

Jim Smoak Banjo Concert – Friday, Feb 18^th at 6:30 p.m.  Join us for our first concert in 2 years!  Jim has been playing since he was 12 and began traveling with Bill Monroe and playing for the Grand Ole Opry in the 50’s, and was part of The Cumberlands in the ‘60’s.  He is a master of the 5-string banjo!  Masks will be required in the Community Room during the concert.

Saturday Craft – Saturday, Feb 19 at 10:30 a.m. We'll be creating string art hearts to decorate your home. This event is for ages 12+. Must pre-register

The library is closed on Feb 21 for Presidents’ Day

Adult Craft Saturday – Saturday, Feb 26 at 11:30 a.m.  Create a wreath using pages from a book. Must be 18+. Registration required. 

End of the Month Book Club - Monday, Feb 28 at 6:30 p.m. Discussing “The Vanishing Half” by Brit Bennett.  New members welcomed.
