Distracted Semi Driver Overturns, Dumps 20 Tons of Gravel on US 150 Monday

ORANGE COUNTY -- Traffic is flowing again on US 150 in Orange County after a semi overturned Monday afternoon, closing the roadway for a time.

It happened just east of Cave Quarry.

Police say a semi driver was distracted by his cellphone, lost control and overturned, spilling 20 tons of gravel onto the roadway.

Quarry officials sent some of their equipment to the scene to help clear the roadway as quickly as possible.

The driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.  He was wearing his seat belt.
