DCHD offering Vaccines Daily

For those wanting to protect themselves from COVID-19, RSV, and flu viruses, the Dubois County Health Department (DCHD) is now offering all three vaccines on a daily basis. 

Covid-19- CDC recommends everyone 6 months and older get an updated COVID-19 vaccine to protect against COVID-19 illness. DCHD has just received the updated COVID- 19 vaccine for those with private insurance. We are still waiting on the publicly funded vaccine. 

RSV- Individuals 60 and older and pregnant women between 32-36 week gestation are eligible for the Abrysvo RSV vaccination. Infants are eligible for the Beyfortus vaccine to prevent RSV. 

FLU- Everyone 6 months and older are eligible for the flu vaccine. This vaccination is particularly important for people who are at higher risk of serious complication from influenza. DCHD has both high dose (65+) and standard flu vaccines available. 

Patients need to have their ID’s and insurance information. 

All three of these vaccines will remain available at the Dubois County Health Department from 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday thru Friday. No appointment needed. The drive thru option is offered for Flu, RSV and Covid-19 to those 12 years of age and older.
