Daviess County Woman Batters Officer During Traffic Stop, police say

Daviess County- A Friday traffic stop led to multiple charges for a Daviess County woman.

On Friday the Daviess County sheriff’s office reports a traffic stop was conducted on an unspecified vehicle. The driver, 29-year-old Stephanie Cooper, became combative with officers during the stop according to police.

Cooper was arrested and charged with battery on law enforcement, battery with bodily fluids, resisting law enforcement, possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia, and auto theft.

According to the sheriff's office, Cooper has no prior offenses.
