SCHOOLS: CLOSED 


  • Color My World Preschool will be cancelling in person classes on Thursday and Friday.  They will be having virtual learning.

  • Southwest Dubois County Schools will not have in person classes on Thursday, February 3rd due to the winter storm forecast.  It will be an eLearning Day.

  • GJSC Schools e-learning Thursday
  • NE Dubois - Virtual Learning Thursday
  • Trinity Treehouse Preschool will be closed Thursday.
  • Paoli Community Schools will be closed Thursday, February 3rd.
  • Southeast Dubois County School will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 3.  It will be a virtual learning day for students.
  • Shoals Community Schools closed Thursday with an E-Learning Day.
  • Loogootee Community Schools closed Thursday with an E-Learning Day.

     



BUSINESSES: CLOSED


  • FARBEST production is CANCELLED for Thurs. Feb. 3 + Fri. Feb. 4 at Huntingburg/Vincennes processing facilities! There WILL be operations at Huntingburg/Vincennes facilities on Sat. Feb. 5. 
  • Schwenk Family Dentistry will be closed Thursday, Feb 3rd.
  • Indiana Foot and Ankle in Jasper will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3
  • Shared Abundance Food Pantry will not be open on Thursday, Feb. 3.
  • Jasper Park and Rec has cancelled all activities for Thursday, Feb. 3.
  • The St. Vincent de Paul Donation Acceptance Area will be closing at 4:30 pm Wednesday and will remain closed until when safe to reopen.  The St. Vincent de Paul Store as of now remains open, however they will update if a closure should occur.
  • Dr. Ehrhard’s office will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 3.
  • The West Side Dairy Queen and Orange Julius at the Y in Jasper will be closed Thursday and Friday.
  • Oink Inc. will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3.
  • Clay Street Eye Care will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3.
  • The Dubois County Museum will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3.
  • Jasper Flowers and Gifts closed Thursday, Feb. 3.
  • All offices of Kizior & Young Orthodontics will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3.

  • Memorial Hospital Outpatient Services & Clinics
    • Most offices are closed Thursday, February 3rd.  Call ahead before your scheduled appointment.

Dr. Bruce Nonte (Ferdinand) Closed Thursday.

Bargain Barn Funiture (Ferdinand) Closing at 5:30 Wed. and will not open Thursday.

BUSINESSES: ALTERED SCHEDULE


  • Jasper Engines & Transmissions’ Southern Indiana manufacturing facilities will operate on a two-hour delay for Thursday, February 3rd. Associates who work remote should begin at their normal time. Any additional changes to the schedule will be announced no later than 7 am ET Thursday.   • There will be no morning classes or childwatch on Thursday Feb. 3 at the Tri-County YMCA. The facility will be open at 6 AM. Evening classes will be evaluated Thursday.

  • Civil Supply in Jasper will be on a 3 Hour Delay for Thursday morning.

CITY OFFICES:


  • Huntingburg – Due to the incoming ice storm, all City of Huntingburg offices will be closed on Thursday, February 3, 2022. The Huntingburg Transit System will not be operating. The City is urging residents to stay home if possible. In case of a utility emergency, please call the Huntingburg Emergency Line at (812) 683-2327.

  • Divine Providence Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel: to close at 6pm Wednesday and re-open Friday at 3pm

  • Precious Blood Catholic Church: no rosaries at 7pm Wednesday

  • Loogootee Public Library has cancelled guitar lessons for Thursday
  • Jasper American Legion Post 147 Bingo for this evening (Wed. 2/2) is cancelled.
  •  Jasper Community Arts First Thursday reception scheduled for Thursday, February 3 as well as the Clay Open Studio cancelled.

SPORTS: CANCELLED


Jasper High School Basketball: Due to the impending weather, tomorrow night's boys' JV and Varsity basketball game vs. Barr-Reeve has been postponed until 2/15.


The Southridge vs. Gibson Southern game is postponed for tonight (Wed. 2/2).  It is rescheduled for Saturday, 2/5/22 at 3pm Eastern time at Gibson Southern.


Both Girls Basketball Sectional 48 games (Forest Park) scheduled for tonight have been cancelled, once we find out the severity of the weather impact we will make a decision on when we will reschedule.
