COVID Cases Decline, Indiana Department of Health Reduces Reporting

Statewide
- In a Wednesday announcement, the Indiana Department of Health announced that the agency has reduced their daily reporting of COVID-19 cases.

With statewide cases rapidly declining from the omicron variant-fueled peak in January, the IDH has decided that daily updates are not necessary at this time. The agency will update numbers each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Rather than case and death totals, numbers will reflect positivity rates over a seven-day period. The dashboard will feature a county-by-county map breakdown.

In addition, the site will differentiate between initial infection and re-infections.

The dashboard is available at https://www.coronavirus.in.gov/indiana-covid-19-dashboard-and-map/.
