COVID-19 Numbers Continue to Spike Areawide, We Check on Other Counties in our Listening Area

AREA WIDE -- The state Health Department reported 50 new cases of COVID-19 in Dubois County in the Thursday update.

It brings our total to 5,335 since the pandemic began.

No new deaths were reported Thursday afternoon.  Our death toll stands at 70.

Our seven day positivity  rate is 25.5%, that’s down from 27.8% the day prior.

Elsewhere across the area Thursday…

Daviess and Lawrence counties each reported one new death.  25 new cases reported in Lawrence County; 23 in Daviess.

Pike County has 27 new cases; 16 in Perry County; and 15 in Orange County.  Crawford County reported 11 new cases Thursday afternoon; 12 in Spencer County and five in Martin County.

All counties in the listening area are under a CODE RED with the exception of Perry County.  They are under a CODE ORANGE.
