COVID-19 Fears Force Jasper-Dubois Public Library to Close Until Further Notice

FROM LOCAL SOURCES

JASPER -- The Jasper-Dubois Public Library will be closed until further notice due to the spread of COVID-19.

You can see the library's full statement below....

The safety of patrons, staff, and community members is of the utmost priority.

In accordance with Governor Holcomb’s latest resolution to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and the potential effects on our community, the Jasper-Dubois County Public Library will be closed until further notice.

Drop boxes are also closed at this time.

The library system is fine-free so no overdue fines will accrue while the library is closed.

The library has proactively taken steps to change due dates on all items currently checked out to May 4 and will extend that date if necessary. The library does have an expansive digital collection of materials that can be accessed at anytime on the library’s website. We have also renewed any library cards that had expired in the past year to allow immediate access to the library’s digital collection.

If you do not have a library card and would like a digital access card, please see the contact information below. Free WiFi can be accessed at anytime in the areas outside of the libraries as well as the Jasper Library Annex.

Please be sure to use recommended social distancing guidelines when doing so.

Any questions can be directed to Library Director Christine Golden at [email protected] for more information. We can also be reached via the chat feature on our website or via message to any of our Facebook pages.
