County Computers Hacked, Officials Say Multiple Systems Impacted in All Lawrence County Offices

LAWRENCE COUNTY -- Officials in Lawrence County say the county’s computer network was hacked this week and multiple critical systems have been impacted in all county offices.

Multiple agencies have been notified including the Dept. of Homeland Security.

County officials say there is an ongoing, coordinated effort to address the problem, adding public safety is their first priority.
