Controlled Burn Set for The Parklands

The controlled burn set to take place at The Parklands is now scheduled for this Friday 10/11/24. The Parklands will close at 1:00PM ahead of the 2:00PM burn time. This burn will encompass only one acre of The Parklands 75 total acres. Park goers are asked to remove their vehicles and vacate the premises no later than 1:00PM for preparations to begin. All entrances, including vehicular and walking, will remain closed after the fire until further notice. Updates on reopening can be found on the Jasper Park and Recreation Facebook page after the burn is complete. Barricades at the parking areas will be removed once the area has reopened.
