Construction Rocks to Blame For Single Moped Accident in Jasper Thursday, Operator Sent to the Hospital

JASPER -- One person was hurt in a moped accident Thursday on Northwood Avenue in Jasper.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection with Howard Drive.

Police say the moped was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

The driver, a Jasper man, suffered a laceration to his head and was transported to Memorial Hospital by private vehicle.

He told police his moped slipped on rocks from construction going on in the area.
