Christmas is coming to The Astra

Jasper- Don’t worry, it won’t be Clark or Cousin Eddie running The Polar Express, but both movies will be making a return to The Astra just in time for the Christmas season!

The Polar Express, thanks to a sponsorship by German American Bank, will be pulling into station at the Astra Theatre once again on Saturday, December 2 for a 3:00 PM matinee showing. Pajamas are encouraged in an effort to fully immerse oneself into the story. So, get your favorite festive pajamas out, gather up the family, and take a journey on an  inspiring adventure to the North Pole. By the time you leave the theatre, you will no doubt “Believe.”

Tickets are on sale now at www.AstraTheater.com.  General admission tickets on the main floor and balcony are $10.00 and include some special treats! The doors will open at 2:30 PM. 

Then on Saturday, December 16, a good ol’ fashioned family Christmas will once again be had at The Astra as National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation slides on in. So, make plans to join the Griswold family along with the jolliest bunch of friends this side of the courthouse. Whether you arrive in your wood paneled station wagon or are dressed in your best Cousin Eddie attire is completely up to you, but make sure you are prepared to laugh and have a genuinely good time. No doubt this can prove to be one of your hap-hap-happiest Christmas activities of the season, and, who knows, just maybe you’ll learn a thing or two about exterior illumination.
