Children 5-11 Now Eligible for Vaccine Booster at Dubois Co. Health Department
Dubois Co. - Children aged 5-11 are now eligible for a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine following
authorization this week from the U.S. FDA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC).
The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) is advising vaccine providers that they can begin
administering boosters of the Pfizer pediatric vaccine to children in this age group whose last
dose was administered at least five months ago. The Pfizer vaccine is the only one currently
authorized for children ages 5-11.
The Pediatric Pfizer vaccine for the 5-11 year age group will be given inside the Dubois County
Health Department between 8:00am-3:30 pm.
Patients are encouraged to bring their vaccination card to their appointment to ensure the
