Candle Light Vigil Returns to Haysville Park

Jasper- In 2022, there have been over 2,321 deaths due to drug overdose, according to the CDC statistics through March. That’s nearly the same number of deaths as last year’s total.
Substance abuse effects not only the individual, but those who care for them. The Dubois County Substance Abuse Council is inviting the public and those struggling with addiction to join them at Haysville Park on August 25th for a candle light vigil to remember those lost due to substance abuse.
The Vigil, in its fifth year of existence, takes place from 7-8:30pm. Photos of loved ones lost to overdose are encourage to be brought with you.
The event is rain or shine and you are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
