Boonville Men Arrested In Jasper Rural King
Jasper- The Jasper Police report two Saturday morning arrests at Rural King.
JPD officers say they responded to a call about two suspicious men inside the Jasper Rural King. Officers say they were told they may attempt theft and appeared intoxicated.
After making contact with the two men, JPD officers say 32-year-old Nathan Ambrose of Boonville was intoxicated. Officers also learned during the interaction the second man, 36-year-old Matthew Ambrose, had a warrant issued for his arrest in Vanderburgh County. When officers searched Matthew, they found illegal drugs and several counterfeit $100 bills on him.
Jasper PD K-9 Officer Mack was deployed on the two’s vehicle and positively indicated on the presence of narcotics. Officers located more illegal drugs inside during their search.
Both Nathan and Matthew were arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, and Felony Counterfeiting; Forgery. They were taken to the Dubois County Security Center.
