Birdseye Man Arrested For Threatening to "Blow Up" Perry County Courthouse

BIRDSEYE -- A Dubois County man is in jail after allegedly threatening to blow up the Perry County Courthouse.

Police say a woman called the Clerk’s Office upset over a traffic citation.  That’s when a male subject got on the phone and allegedly threatened to “blow you all up.”

The man has been identified as Shane Schlachter, 41 of Birdseye.  He was arrested at a home on Popular Street and charged with felony Intimidation.

Bail has been set at $4,000.
